A typical day in the life of an Assistant Collector

This is a very brief account of how a typical day of an Assistant Collector and Project officer Kinwat is.

Morning at BP college for tree plantation activity organized by Maharashtra Gramin Bank Kinwat branch on the occasion of their founding day. I told the staff present about Tree plantation, Har ghar tiranga program and asked them to participate in large number. Requested them to sponsor the flags.

Then left for one Sarkhani village for one seized sand stock inquiry along with Tahsildar. Did the panchnama, issued notice to illegal constructions on the spot.

From there went to few agricultural fields where crop loss has occurred to cross verify. Crops get damaged not because of excess rains but because of stagnation of water. Due to such issue the productivity of crops reduces by 40-50%. I told my staff to note the details and asked Tahsildar and TAO to verify the yield once crop cutting experiment starts around October.

Then in the evening at ITDP office for file work.
